Die Toon (meaning The Toe) is the name given to this mountain in the Richtersveld near Tatasberg. There is a large rock sticking up that resembles a big toe and this resulted in the name of the mountain. The earliest evidence of human habitation within the Richtersveld National Park was discovered in a shelter at Die Toon. This site has been dated back to 2 200 BC.
