Clouds Estate is an undiscovered gem in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands, situated at the top of Helshoogte Pass, overlooks the beautiful Banhoek Valley, edged by the majestic Drakenstein mountains, with Simonsberg taking pride of place in the foreground.

Clouds Estate is a 4.5-hectare boutique hotel, situated on the crest of the Helshoogte Pass overlooking the spectacular Banhoek Valley between Stellenbosch & Franschhoek. Some of its neighbours include Delaire Graff Estate, Tokara, and Thelema.

Clouds Estate has 7 luxurious bedrooms in the main house and 5 Deluxe 1-bedroom villas on the estate. Two infinity pools and many relaxing areas make this perfect for a short break or a longer stay. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is offered. Rooms and villas their own patio/terrace with outside seating. All rooms and villas are equipped with free WiFi, air conditioning, Nespresso machines, Smart TV's, DVD players, fridges, under-floor heating in the bathrooms as well as I-pod docking stations, hair dryers and laptop safes. Travelling from CAPE TOWN via the N1 Highway:
Take the N1 northbound towards Paarl. Take the Exit 39 towards Stellenbosch (the exit after the Engen One Stop). Turn right from the exit onto the R304 towards Stellenbosch. Drive for about 15km until you drive into Stellenbosch, to the Adam Tas, Bird Street intersection. Friendly Grocer/Seven Eleven & Jo Marlin is on your left). At this intersection, turn left towards Paarl/Franschhoek. (Eikestad Mercedes dealership is opposite). At the next traffic light, turn right (R310 to Ida's Valley & Franschhoek). This is the Helshoogte Road. Drive past Ida's Valley (on the left), and "Spar" Centre (on the right). Continue for approximately 6km, you will be leaving town behind and travel to the top of the pass. You will pass Neil Ellis Estate on your left, and about 2km further Delaire Estate is on the right, then Tokara on the left as you reach the top of the pass. About 100m after Tokara, Clouds Estate is on the right hand side opposite Alluvia & Glen Arum. At the gate, press the intercom to Reception.

Travelling from N2 and AIRPORT:
From Cape Town & the airport, take the N2 to Somerset West. Take the Baden Powell off-ramp (R310). Continue straight on R310 (past Spier) into Stellenbosch. Continue along this road (Adam Tas) through Stellenbosch (railway line on left). Drive until you get to the traffic lights at the Bird Street intersection, (Eikestad Mercedes dealership on right hand side).
Cross over the Bird Street traffic light (Friendly Grocer/Seven Eleven & Jo Marlin on your left). At the next traffic light, turn right (R310 to Ida's Valley & Franschhoek). This is the Helshoogte Road. Drive past Ida's Valley (on the left), and "Spar" Centre (on the right).
