Description [ correction ]

The park is located in the heart of the Garden Route just outside Mossel Bay. Jukani Predator Park is one of the greatest experiences with the world's fearsome hunters. The Park is owned by Jurg and Karen Olsen fulfilling their lifelong dream. The park is dedicated to the preservation and well being of carnivores by changing attitudes and minds of people. In this park you will find carnivores of all shapes and sizes like the mighty Tiger of Asia or the cunning jackal. The main purpose of this Park is to change people's perception of these animals whether it is fear, hate, love or despise. When visiting these incredible animals for just an hour you will leave with a total different respect and view of these creatures. This will light the flame in your heart to also fight for these immaculate creatures right of land to roam freely. The animals at Jukani are all wild none of them has had their spirits broken or been tamed. The most breathtaking sight is to see how they welcome Jurg and Karen and some of the staff and to witness the special bond between predator and man. The reviews of this park has been outstanding making this a must see on the Garden Route.

“We visited this santuary in December 2012. The snake room has a large variety of snakes, and very interesting. We did not see many of the animals in the enclosures outside, due to the heat. The santuary is very open, with not alot of shade. Visit it in the early morning or late afternoon, remember hats and sunscreen. There is a small shop selling cooldrinks and curios. Animal feeding is at 16:00 in the afternoon.” - Janine Reyneke, 2012/01/24
