Description [ correction ]

Barra is a 30 minute drive from Inhambane, accessible by 4X4 vehicles. Our campsite not only hosts one of the first light houses in Inhambane, but some of the most spectacular views, with the sea but a stone throw away. Accommodation consists of either camping or tenting. The Lighthouse campsite facilitates all campers, including backpackers. We have a communal kitchen, hot water showers and electricity. Campsites are available with Casida's 'traditional grass shelters'. Fresh drinking water is available. Caravans (off-road type) also possible. Activities on the white sandy beaches and surrounding areas, including Horse riding, Deep Sea Fishing, Snorkelling, Diving and Wind-surfing. The waters of Inhambane are home to one of the largest populations of whale sharks and are world renowned for its exquisite Manta Ray, and Turtle population. Our onsite Bar & restaurant prepare traditional dishes. (Oct-11).
