Description [ correction ]

Named after the first Prime Minister of the Cape Colony, Sir John Charles Molteno, the town was founded in 1874 and saw much of the Stormberg Battle of the Boer War. The museum awaits those interested with artefacts and information, and visitors can also see the Johannes Meintjies Collection of Art in the local school. Outdoors various rock art in the area awaits, as well as three extinct volcanoes.
