Description [ correction ]

On the banks of the Modder River 23 km from Bloemfontein. A Mr Mazel owned the land on which the resort is situated. The land was known as 'Mazel's Pass'. Accommodation options include 130 well grassed level caravan and camping stands, with two very well maintained ablution units. There are 44 luxury caravan sites with individual ablution facilities, chalets & cottages, 2-sleeper thatched rondavels and 2-sleeper standard guest house.

Directions [ correction ]

About 10 Km north of Bloemfontein on the N1, take the Maselspoort off-ramp. On the banks of the Modder River, 23 km North of Bloemfontein Take the Glen/ Maselspoort turn -off. This, (Once tarred) road, is now in a shocking condition.

“This is one of the nicer Resorts in the Freestate, but the previously 10km tarred road from the N1, has now been allowed to revert to an impassable dirt track. There is a better approach road through Bloemfontein, but we find it unacceptable due to heavy traffic. Another sad tale of Government incompetence. We will reluctantly give it a miss in future” - Chris Smit, 2011/03/23
