Torra Bay is located in the Skeleton Coast National Park on the South West coast of Namibia. There is a campsite which is a popular fishing destination. Torra Bay is however only open in December and January. It is known for its excellent fishing from the shore. The camping sites offer basic facilities and visitors must be self-sufficient.

No tow-in in the area but Polka 24hr services this area they are based in Okahandja.+264(0)81 129 7490. Fuel station only open during holiday season December and January, fuel supply may be limited. (Apr-12). (Feb-2014): Take note: Garage or Petrol cards will no longer be accepted as a legal tender for purchase of fuel, spares or repairs in Namibia.
Cash, Debit and Credit cards are legal payment instruments, but many fuel stations choose NOT to accept Debit and/or Credit cards.
Therefore you are advised to either carry cash or ensure that the filling stations you intend to use will accept your Debit or Credit card. (Feb-2014).
TRAVELER INFORMATION:
A traveller travelling to Namibia during May 2014, found that a credit card was accepted at garages at these places: Swakopmund, Ai-Ais, Solitaire, Sesriem and Lüderitz. It seemed to be possible to pay by credit/debit card at the major tourist towns. Take extra cash with still in case! (May-2014).
Book well in advance as Torra Bay is normally fully booked every year.
