Pretoria is the administrative capital city of South Africa, often referred to as the Jacaranda city because of many Jacaranda trees planted in streets and parks. Situated on the Northern part of Gauteng, within the greater metropolitan area of Tswane. The town was named after the Pretorius family who lived there in the 1850s and today falls under the Tswane Metropolitan Municipality. Various major attractions found in the city includes the Union building, Kruger house museum, Voortrekker-monument, Wonderboom nature reserve & the National Zoological gardens to mention just a few.
