Nkasa Lupala tented lodge is situated on the Lupala island less than 300m from the Nkasa Rupara NP (Mamili) border. The Lodge is energy sufficient, using solar panels for its electricity and water heating system, with 10 luxury Tents and a central point where a bar, dining room, lounge facility, kitchen, storage, office and view point is linked to the rooms through connected pathways.

Nkasa Lupala Tented is in around 75 km from Kongola (B8 road) and 135 from Katima Mulilo. From Kongola or Katima Mulilo, follow the C49 road up to the junction to the Sangwali village (direction Mamili NP). The Lodge is on the Mamili NP boundaries, 1km East from the Shisintze ranger station and park entrance and 11km South from Sangwali village. 4x4 Required.

Parking at the conservancy office in Sangwali village is available and pick up can be arranged from the lodge. Rainy season is from December to March. Road conditions: C49 is under construction (tar) From Sangwali to the lodge 4x4 needed. Please note that no camping is allowed in the Nkasa Lupala NP anymore. One can came close by at the Rupara community campsite, about 3km away. The lodge closes annually for the month of February. (Mar-14).
