“The Tradouws Pass built by Thomas Bain, was upgraded in the mid 1960’s. Some of the sharper bends were “smoothed” and the resulting additional road widths were utilised to create comfortable stopping and viewpoints. Most of them are big enough to drive in and out with a caravan in tow which is a great advantage to travellers. After rains, numerous waterfalls can be seen from some of these points.” - Chris Smit, 2012/10/19
