Prison (Robert Sobukwe) is part of the many prison cells in Robben Island. Robert Sobukwe was detained on Robben Island under the Sobukwe clause especially written into the Suppression of Communism Act of 1950 as amended by the General Law Amendment Bill that was passed by Parliament in 1963. Robert Sobukwe spent 6 years of Isolation in his own prison cell on the same site and was not allowed even to walk or communicate with his fellow prisoners and family. This temporarily affected his power to concentrate and even to speak. (Jul 2013).
