The Koos Raubenheimer Dam is fed by the Grobbelaars River and lies 23 km north of Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo. This is a fairly small but deep and rocky dam well-known among fishermen. The water in the dam is very clear and has a big population of Largemouth Bass. Outboard motors are not permitted on the dam, only trolling motors may be used. You have to pay an entry fee to get the key to the gate at the Cango Mountain Resort about 1 km away.
