Kokerboomkloof is one of the world's real majestic nature destinations where you can stay over and enjoy the sheer space and quiet that comes with the place. The Campsite is very rustic with limited facilities. They are serviced by dry toilets. No water is available on site and the nearest water point is at Richtersberg (32 km) away. Bones uncovered at Kokerboomkloof reveal that at least some of the species currently present in the region, such as springbok, zebra, and klipspringer were also present over 4 000 years ago. The presence of fish bones indicates that the Orange River was an important source of food for the hunter-gatherers.
