Piketberg is a rural and farming town situated at the foot of Piketberg mountain range and lies within the Western Cape province, situated just 2 hours drive from Cape Town. The hotter areas around the mountains are suited to growing wheat, while the cooler areas on top of the mountains are used for fruit and Rooibos tea growing. The area was first inhabited by the San, with rock art still marking the surrounding areas. (Updated Feb-14).
