Situated close to the Long river marsh, northeast of Elands bay within the Cederberg region of the Western Cape. The town dates back to the famous missionary movement, when a Dutch reformed church was established in 1905. The town was named after Reverend F Leipoldt. Today the town is well known for potato production and some of the most challenging 4x4 routes. For more information about the town the visitors should contact the Lamberts Bay Tourism Office.
