Description [ correction ]

Fraserburg is named after Rev Colin Fraser, a Scottish cleric and immigrant, and was founded in 1851. Visitors can enjoy seeing all the well-preserved Victorian buildings. HWA Cooper (law agent) began writing the 'Boerebrieven' in Fraserburg for Het Volksblad in 1870. He wrote under the alias of Samuel Zwaartman.
