Pniel is a lovely little town at the foot of Simonsberg with the Dwars River running through it. It is situated between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, with the famous Boschendal wine estate about 2 minutes drive from the town. (Dec-11).
Take the Helshoogte Pass from Stellenbosch and drive 10 km in the direction of Franschhoek. you'll pass a few wine estates like Delaire, Tokara and Zorgvliet before entering this Small town. The Main road will take you straight through the town, where Boschendal wine estate will be at the end.
