“Building of a restaurant is under way. Once that is finished they will commence building chalets at Hobas. (June 2016)” - Karin Theron, 2016/06/14

“As Hobas is the closest camp to the Fish River Canyon Viewpoint (only 10km) it is best to stay here if you want to take photographs at sunrise or sunset. If you are not camping but merely visiting the canyon, you have to pay an entry fee of N$60 as a day visitor. ” - Karin Theron, 2014/06/17

“This our last overnight stop en route back to SA, ahead of the past weekend, I admit having had no expectations, whereas we were pleasantly surprised to find the place less crowded and therefore not a bad choice after all. Hot showers (ladies bathroom) were however an issue. ” - Mike Reeler, 2012/08/26

“Like most campsites close to a famous Namibian attractions, it’s expensive, crowded and with much too little ablution. But seeing a breathtaking full moon set over the canyon, followed by an even more incredible sunrise, makes it worth every penny, and more.” - Jan Amersfoort, 2008/09/01
