Located in Namibia :: Four Nations  :: Kongola Area
Category: Lodging :: Lodge

Booking

The river lodge has 25 en-suite bungalows, all fitted with mosquito nets, air conditioning, tea/coffee facilities, basic toiletries and veranda.
Namushasha is a real un-spoilt African experience in very scenic surrounds. Situated high on the bank of the Kwando River, the lodge overlooks a hippo pool and is a birders paradise with over 300 recorded bird species. Our morning and afternoon boat trip is a popular pastime and guests are also welcome to try their hand at lure fishing while cruising on the river. Our guided game drives are conducted in the Bwabwata National Park, formally known as the Caprivi Game Park. Both Mudumu & Mamili National Parks on the eastern side of the Kwando River are alternative game drive options for guests who want to self-drive (4x4 vehicle is a requirement). Certain traditional villages offer guests the opportunity to visit and experience the locals at work while they do basket weaving and wood crafting. Guests arriving by charter plane will be collected from the airstrip, but pick-up must be arranged prior to arrival with the Reservations office.

Comments [ leave a comment ]

“We visited May 2021 and though still quiet, tourism was picking up. The lodge location is absolutely stunning and we really enjoyed the boat cruise.” - Mietsie Visser, 2021/05/28

“The road conditions are fine from the tar road on to the MR 125 @ Kongola and up to the Lodge. The camping rates @ 60.00 Nam dollars per person. Part of Mundumu can still be reached but Mamilli is totally flooded. If going into Mundumu it is preferable to use two 4 x 4 at a time so that if one gets stuck, the other one can help. Reservations can be done at [email protected]. They will confirm directly with you.” - Janine Reyneke, 2009/03/23
