The resort is situated on Shark Peninsula, with an excellent view over the bay, town and harbour. Seals and Pelicans are some wildlife species that can be seen frequenting the rocky areas around the site.
Each campsite has its own electricity point, light, rubbish bin and built-in braai. The taps are close to each camp. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
There is one big ablution facility and additional small ones spaced between the campsites. The facilities are spotlessly clean and are serviced daily. They also offer accommodation in the lighthouse.
The wind can be a challenge when camping here - choose a spot behind a rock.
Visitors should report to the office in Schinz Street for check-in and out.

“Visited December 2022. Facilities were upgraded and ablutions renovated. The sites each have a powerpoint, light, rubbish bin and braai stand. There are taps close to each camp. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The wind is a constant challenge, but choose a site behind a rock on windy days.” - Mietsie Visser, 2023/01/03
“This is a beautiful spot in Luderitz, but NWR desperately need to upgrade the ablution facilities !! Only one of the 2 facilities was in working order in April 2017, and only barely: broken, leaking taps, shower heads, toilets etc. However we had power and a light at our site and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.” - Mietsie Visser, 2017/05/04
