The Vingerklip and Mukurob (Finger of God) are two different rock monoliths. Mukorob is situated between Keetmanshoop and Mariental off the D629. The other rock monolith, the Vingerklip/Rock Finger, still standing, is situated in Damaraland, in North West Namibia, near Twyfelfontein. Mukurob was also a sandstone rock formation but on the other hand means 'Finger of God' and was situated near Asab, collapsed on 08 December 1988. Nama legend stated that the power of the 'White Man' would fall at the same time that the rock fell. A replica of this formation can be seen at the Keetmanshoop Tourism Information Centre. There is even a song written about Mukorob rock formation by V. Röder and a song by Ongoma.
