'Arnhem', untainted by the outside world - famous for bats since 1930. Namibia's largest, longest and most majestic cave; inhabited by 6 different species of bats.
Cave walk costs are NAD150pp for phase 1 only and NAD250pp for both phases 1 and 2 (2019 fees). You can email to make a booking or book at the lodge on arrival.
Cave walks are guided and take place either 9am or 15pm depending on the size of the group and availability of the owner / guide, so it is best to book in advance.
The road to the cave from the Arnhem Cave Lodge is very rocky and you will need a 4WD, but the owner or the guide on duty will take you there with the land rover as the cave is on the Arnhem farm which is private property.
“The cave walk is highly recommended. It is amazing to experience the immense size of the cave, the darkness and the bats!” - Jacques van der Smit, 2019/04/15
