Lovely camp well run and friendly. The lodge currently does not offer any lodging, only campsites, bar, Wi-Fi, restaurant and swimming pool. All this set under a canopy of mature indigenous trees overlooking the Kunene River. Activities include white water rafting, sundowner boat cruises, visits to the local Himba people, guided birding trips and canoes are available for hire.

ACCESS:
Accessible by all vehicles as long as roads are not flooded.
The road D3700 from Kunene River Lodge in North West Namibia to Epupa Falls along by the Kunene River has been upgraded. It used to be a serious 4 x 4 route but is now a wide road and takes about 3 hours to drive(Oct-16).
BOOKINGS:
Journeys Namibia has taken over the management of Kunene River Lodge.(2018).
ELECTRICITY:
There is no electricity for campsites available during the night from approximately 22:00 to 06:00.(Apr-12).
ACTIVITIES:
They need to know at the time of booking if you are interested in participating in any of our activities. They cannot confirm or take pre-payment for the Himba Excursion or any of the water activities. The Himba’s are Nomadic by culture and from time to time they may be away from their village visiting with family at other villages. When they know that there is a request for the Himba Excursion, they will go to the village and make arrangements with the Headman. If the family that they always use is not available they will try to get another family to present their culture and lifestyle to you. All water activities are subject to water levels, including the Sundowner Boat Cruise. If the water levels are too low, they will not be able to offer these activities.(JULY 2023)
