“The Gamchab (Gamkab) 4WD-Trail… is a shortcut route from Ai-Ais to Aussenkehr/Rosh Pinah. Follow the D316 for about 23 km and turn right at the sign Aussenkehr/Rosh Pinah. After 19 km you reach the starting point of Gamchab-4WD-Trail. This scenic valley extends over 14 km and it is rarely frequented. At the end you are just some 700 m away from the Gariep/Oranje River. Without my satnav I would not have had the courage to drive through the valley. ” - Sonja Stoegmueller, 2013/03/21
