This is the border between Malawi and Zambia. Most of the Borders have exchange bureaus. According to travelers it has been said that it is a quick and easy border.

COSTS FOR ENTERING MALAWI:
You will need a Temporary Import Permits (TIP) for each vehicle & vehicle insurance. Insurance for small cars is approximately ZAR300 (plus or minus) & your TIP should cost you about ZAR150 per vehicle depending on vehicle specifications. (Nov-13).
INSURANCE:
If entering Malawi, you have to buy car insurance at the border. (2014).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This border is at Lundazi and as remote as they come. It's supposed to be from 06:00 to 18:00 but it's very dodgy in the sense that it's basically a guy in a hut concept. There's no insurance at this border so the same apply as Mchinji after hours. Just be aware that it is not recommended for a convoy for this and should have plenty spare fuel and everything else, it's really remote.
