Kundalila Falls (Crying Dove)

The 70 m high Kundalila Falls is situated on the Kaombe river, with a deep pool at the bottom where one can swim. From the top of the falls there are spectacular views over the Luangwa Valley. The name Kundalila means ‘crying dove’, and it’s rumoured that colonial explorers shot many doves here. Today you will hear many of these birds while exploring the surroundings, a place well known for its flowers.
The falls is one of Zambia's Natural Monuments and makes a delightful picnic spot amongst the granite boulders.
There are also basic campsite facilities with a long drop toilet and braai area. There is also a swimming pool below the falls.
Entry fees to the falls are adults: USD15, kids: USD7. Also USD15 per vehicle. If you pay to camp here, you do not have to pay the USD15 entrance fee too. You can try to negotiate the rates. (2019).
