Situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, Western Zambia Kabula Lodge has been specifically designed to provide affordable and truly comfortable holiday accommodation for families who love fishing, birding, the outdoors and who want to enjoy Africa at its pristine best.
Kabula is also a recognised haven for the keen fisherman wanting to catch a trophy Tiger Fish. Chalets and campsites are provided. Chalets have solar powered lights.
Kabula Lodge is not far from Sesheke and is really a much nicer place to stay if you are heading north. They have excellent camping and SC chalets. They are also about an hour away from the Ngonye Falls National Park.
Offering rustic and comfortable thatched chalets, each chalet has a beautiful wooden deck which overlooks the river. There is one double unit with two bedrooms, one 4 bed “fisherman’s” chalet, one 3 bed chalet and four 2 bed chalets, all with en-suite bathroom with shower. A new addition is the “Owner Cottage” with two en-suite bedrooms and a central open-plan living area. All chalets are provided with linen and towels and are fully serviced. There is a kitchen, which are equipped with gas refrigerators, gas cookers, tables, cutlery, crockery and basic cooking utensils are available for use by the residents of the chalets. The chalets are on a self-catering basis.
Kabula lodge have their own boats and they would be able to take you on trips, but be sure to book ahead if you are coming specifically for river trips. This is a popular fishing destination so if groups come in they occupy the boats (ZAR300 per hour for boat and guide with fuel and fishing tackle).

Kabula Lodge is situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River in Barotseland, Western Zambia. From the border post at Katima Mulilo (Wenela Border Post), between Namibia and Zambia, head north towards Mongu on Route M10. Our clearly signposted entrance is approximately 58 kms along this recently surfaced high standard main road.

FERRY INFO:
There is a new bridge across the Zambezi just before the turn off Sioma. The new tar road takes you from Katima Mulilo across the flood plains to Kalabo. There are no more ferries. The Sitoti ferry is no longer in operational. (2019)
ROAD INFO:
The Road from Katima Mulilo to Mongu has been tarred with a new bridge near Sioma that takes you to the eastern side of the river up to Mongu and Kalabo. (2019)
