Junction Jct SW=Burma Valley - Vumba Circular Drive

ID: w148613 View large map

Located in Zimbabwe :: Manicaland  :: Mutare
Category: Road Marker :: Junction

The famous Circular Drive around the perimeter of Manicaland’s Vumba mountainous highlands, about 70km long, can take up to four hours to complete. Expect poor visibility in some places. Ominous and truly awesome, the dark forests rising above Burma Valley to the south and Essex Valley to the northeast are not lacking in atmosphere. This is Tolkien country rather than dry and dusty Africa - this area is still used for healing, rainmaking and divining rituals.
