The Border Post between Botswana and South Africa, crossing in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
A valid passport book and vehicle papers must always accompany your car. Goods acquired outside the country must be declared at the border gate. For any clarifications on this matter please contact the Customs office. For immigration information you will need to phone the Two Rivers Police station.
This border control is situated right next to the Tweerivieren Campsite.
If you enter the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park at Twee Rivieren, and plan to exit into Botswana, you must make use of the border facilities at Twee Rivieren (South Africa) and Two Rivers (Botswana). The two border posts share the same building at the Twee Rivieren entrance gate.
If you plan to exit into Namibia, you must pass through Immigration and Customs at the Twee Rivieren Border Post, as there is no border post at Mata Mata on the South African side. Once you arrive in Namibia, there is a border post on the Namibian side to enter into Namibia.
A minimum stay of two nights in the Kgalagadi is required if you enter or exit from one country and exit to another.
The use of drones in the park is strictly forbidden.
Tourists crossing into Namibia: Note that the standard black and white’ ZA’ vehicle sticker is required. A road levy will be payable at Namibian immigration when entering Namibia.
They do not accept credit cards, only cash.
