4WD Trail Camp Mabibi Beach Camp

ID: w153290 View large map

Located in South Africa :: KZN Elephant Coast  :: Mbazwana
Category: Camping :: 4WD Trail Camp

Milkwood trees and majestic coastal dunes create a barrier between campers and the beautiful shores of Mabibi beach. Eight private campsites, each with its own tap and braai area, can accommodate a maximum of 6 people. However, here is no electricity.

Communal ablutions with hot and cold water, as well as an open cold-water shower near the entrance to the beach board-walk. It is advisable to take your own drinking water as the water at the camp has a very high iron content and is not fit to drink or cook with. Also, take your own braai grid if you are camping.

There is no cellphone reception in the camp but you will get reception a few metres from the entrance gate. (May 2015).

4X4 advisable for access to the camp as the gravel road is more like a thick sand two spoor road. (May 2015).

 Travel Tip!

You need to be vigilant of naughty vervet monkeys at Mabibi as they steal food from right under your nose (May 2015).

Make sure you bring drinking water and a fishing permit with you or buy one from the nearest Post Office at Mbazwana otherwise you may end up with a R1 000 fine! (May 2015).
