Cathedral Rock is a short walk of about 2 kilometres down the coast from Waterfall Bluff. It is a tall pinnacle of sandstone which has been cut off from the mainland by the sea and is one of the most dramatic rock formations to be seen anywhere along the South African coast. It is reminiscent of the old bombed-out entrance to Coventry Cathedral in England, but on a much more dramatic scale.
