Karkloof is situated between Curry's Post, Rietvlei and Howick in the midlands of Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa. The Karkloof Canopy Tour slides have been constructed in a valley in the Karkloof Forest Reserve. The tour is done by sliding from one platform to another along a steel cable suspended about 30m above the forest floor. Visitors are safely harnessed and under supervision of professional guides. There are seven platforms and eight slides that zig-zag through the beautiful forested valley. Some of the slides are up to 180m long. It takes about 3 hours to complete and can be done by people of all ages who are reasonably healthy.
