The Mopane Lodge is situated 74km from the Phalaborwa Gate. Set in a rocky incline looking over the Pioneer Dam some 45km north of the Letaba Rest Camp. The Mopane trees creates an atmosphere of undisturbed wild. In the heart of the camp you will find the huge gnarled old baobab tree which is the signature feature of the camp. The area is not very populated with game but there are scenic drives along the Letaba river towards Letaba camp and also the Engelhard Dam, there is a good chance of spotting a elephant, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest and many other species of antelope. The lodge offers 43 bungalows, 12 Cottages, equipped with bathrooms, veranda with kitchenette and outside braai (barbecue). 45 Guest Cottages, equipped with bathrooms, dining/lounge area large veranda with kitchenette, outside braai (barbecue). The Guest house -Xanatseni has a great view of the dam and is well equipped with a kitchen, limited channel DSTV television, the rooms are separate from the lounge/dinging area, there are also rooms available with wheelchair accessibilities. The gate times for the Kruger National Park is 05:30-18:30(Nov-Feb), 05:30-18:00(Mar, Oct), 06:00-17:30(May-Jul), 06:00-18:00(Apr/Aug-Sept).

Going by Air: Gateway airport is the closest airport and is situated in Phalaborwa. Phalaborwa Gate is about 3km away from the Gateway Airport. Daily flights between Gateway and OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Going by Road - Take the N1 toll-road to Polokwane (Pietersburg). Turn right 40km before Polokwane onto the R71 Towards Tzaneen. After Tzaneen go to the Phalaborwa and the gate. It takes 6 to 7 hours to travel to the gate. About 74km from the gate you will find Boulders Bush Lodge. Trip to camp takes 3 hours to enjoy the game along the road to the camp.
