Afsaal is a picnic rest stop on the tar road between Malelane and Skukuza. It also has a small restaurant serving light meals and is a very pleasant, shady little place to stop for a meal. Gas cookers can be hired and visitors are able to prepare their own meals in the shade while keeping an eye out for the hornbills around the picnic tables.
