ROUTE INFO:
Nossob camp is where fuel can be purchased. The official distance to Matopi 1 camp, according to Sanparks, is 95km but ended up to be 90km from Nossob. The track itself is a single track sand road which crosses a large number of dunes for the first 60km or so. The sand was not very deep and very manageable. There were a variety of the times it would take to get to Matopi 1 but it took 3.5 hours.
You are not allowed to collect wood in the Kgalagadi. Please bring own wood and drinking water.
