Vredefort Dome Conservancy is one of Unesco World Heritage Site in Parys. The dome is so big and can only be seen from space, have a radius of 190km and so deeply eroded. At the site they offer presentations of the dome and crater development and structure, educational tours, research and media work on the world's oldest & largest asteroid impact crater in South Africa. Now the dome is one of the oldest remaining evidence which had a significant and still visible impact structure on Earth. The conservancy was formed when several landowners in the region came together to form the Vredefort Dome Conservancy.

Accommodation in the Conservancy is a campsite is situated in the heart of the Vredefort dome where youth groups, family camps, church camps and Team building camps. There are also self-catering and bed and breakfast accommodation in the dome.
