KAMANJAB IS AN IMPORTANT TOWN in the Etosha region and offers the traveller essential facilities. It’s centrally situated for those en-route to Kaokoland, whether they come from Etosha, Windhoek, Swakopmund or from the northern parts of Namibia. While the town itself is fairly plain, the surrounding area is very scenic and has a lot to offer. The C40 gravel road, from which Kamanjab is accessed, leads directly to the Grootberg Pass and Palmwag, while the nearest entry into Etosha National Park, Galton Gate, is only 70km away on tar.

Attractions include the rock engravings at Peet Alberts Koppie, the Otjikandero Himba Orphan Village and the Otjitotongwe Cheetah Park.
