Lamu Town is a small town on Lamu Island, which in turn is a part of the Lamu Archipelago in Kenya. The island of Lamu is a Swahili settlement filled with culture because it is an important center for trade because it is the most important trade center in East Africa. The town have been recognised by UNESCO recognized as a World Heritage Site. The town is made up of shops and mosques, Lamu is a labyrinth of alleyways and streets. Locals provide tourists with scenic trips around via dhows. There are no cars in the town as everything is easily accessible either on foot or by boat.
