Addo Elephant National Park, on the banks of the Sundays River about 70 Km north of Port Elizabeth, is 145 000ha. The Park was proclaimed in 1931, and is home to an African Elephant population over 450. This malaria free park is famous for being the only park in Africa which hosts the Big 7 that is : Elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino, leopard, the Southern Right Whale and the Great White Shark. The Addo Elephant is smaller than the usual African giants but belongs to the same species. There are no motorcycles allowed in the National park because of dangerous wildlife.
