The Al-Hussein Mosque, located in Cairo, Egypt, near the famous Khan El-Khalili bazaar, was built in 1154. The mosque was built on the cemetery of the Fatimid caliphs, and named after the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, Husayn ibn Ali. Fatimid Shia/Dawoodi Bohra believe that the head of Al-Hussein was buried on the grounds of the mosque. The mosque is considered to be one of the holiest Islamic sites in Cairo. It was reconstructed in the 19th century. )
