The Augrabies Falls National Park, with its magnificent falls pressing through a narrow rock ravine, remains the main attraction of the Northern Cape. You can also enjoy the South African side of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park with its abundance and variety of wildlife and large number of bird species. Each year in spring the dry inland area known as the Namakwaland that stretches from Vredendal along the west coast up to the border of Namibia, transforms into a dazzling carpet of flowers. This transformation is truly a wonder of nature worth seeing.
