A display of meteorites that fell here. The Gibeon Meteorites is situated in the Post Street Mall in Windhoek central. It consists of 33 pieces weighing between 195kg and 555kg. It is displayed in the centre of the walkway and for all to see. One of the Gibeon Meteorites pieces has been sliced into two halves in order for the interior of the meteorites too be seen. The metal is resistant to corrosion because of the percentage of Nickel.
