Algeria is a country in North Africa. It is one of the most fascinating countries. It was once a popular holiday destination like Morocco, but the tourist industry decreased due to the civil war that broke out in 1992. After a decade it has begun to improve but only slightly. Algeria has seven world heritage sites and they are Al Qal'a of Beni Hammad, Djémila, M'Zab Valley, Timgad, Tipasa, Kasbah of Algiers and Tassili n'Ajjer. One of the towns in Algeria, Timimoun is like a storybook oasis of the Sahara, and the Town in Salah is very welcoming and is split in two by a creeping sand dune. Travelling options are limited. The security situation in Algeria is changeable. Algeria's currency is Dinar(DZD). You will need a visa to enter Algeria.
