Modumela's campsite is rustic and beautiful.
They offer six concreted camping areas each with their own flush toilet and hot water showers. There is no power or electrical points.
A 4x4 is required to reach the campsite, during rainy season, or else a high clearance vehicle at other times, as you have to cross a few dry riverbeds en-route from reception.
Worth a night or a few, as the camp is private and tranquil and right in the bush. The main lodge now offers self catering accommodation, so guests have to be self sufficient in terms of food stocks. (Jul-17).

The campsite has no power. Only the main lodge has power.
Very friendly owners. The camp used to be a Tented Camp but is now a basic campsite used for 4x4 visitors.

One has exclusive use of the camp and pre-booking is essential, as water has to be pumped to the tank, donkeys prepared and firewood delivered to the site. It is located on a dam and has a large thatch lapa and braai area. Drinking water is also supplied and comes from the borehole on the farm.
