The facility has thirteen thatched roof tents raised above the ground on poles with a deck overlooking the river. Each tent has a mosquito net and en-suite bathroom. There are also four tree houses built on stilts amongst the trees, each with mosquito nets and private deck with views over the floodplains. The use of hairdryers and heating appliances is not possible as power is generated through solar. The lodge has a vegetable garden which produces 70% of the produce used.

CAMPING:
Only 4 campsites have power points but power is from a generator so it’s only on for four hours in the morning and another four hours from 18:00.
ROAD CONDITION:
The road condition between Kongola and Camp Kwando has always been known to be in good condition, a gravel and clay based road, which can get slippery when wet. It is one of the main roads in Namibia and maintenance on them is usually very good. It is also in the process of getting tarred. (Sep-12).
