This bar and restaurant at the Tankwa Padstal (farmstall) is situated on the R355 on route to Calvinia or the Tankwa Karoo National Park. They have a fully operational kitchen that serves freshly prepared meals every day of the week (when open). Serve meat lovers and vegetarians. We have the most amazing homemade ginger beer. Consists of a fully operational shop, restaurant, and bar. They have a play park for children, and they are animal-friendly. The shop sells anything from banjo strings to tyre repair units and much more old school / out of fashion items. The bar has a pink Yin and tonic and their own specialty called a “skaap tjoppie” The bar is very creative decorated – a pleasure for the eye. (Updated Apr-2018)
