Located in Namibia :: Etosha  :: Kamanjab Area
Category: Camping :: Camping

Booking

It is located in the western part of the Etosha National Park between Okaukuejo and Dolomite Camp. It is a campsite only with no chalets available.

There is 10 campsites with power points. They take a maximum of 8 people per site. Currently, there are braai facilities for campers, only flat bases to make fire. Ablutions are nice and clean. Electricity is available, but usually from 6am to 10:30am and then from 6pm to 10pm and each power stand is shared among two campsites.

They have a small kiosk that is open for breakfast and lunch. Don't rely on this - they are often out of stock and tend to be expensive. The camp opens at sunrise and closes at sunset as per the general park regulations and day visitors are only allowed to use the picnic facilities up until 16h00.

Reservations are advisable.

“Unfortunately in June 2023 we found the road to Okaukeujo in a very bad state with huge corrigations. Hopefully they will grade it !!” - Mietsie Visser, 2023/06/26

“Lovely, rustic little campsite. In May 2021, we found lions at every waterhole en route from Okaukeujo, as well on our way out via Galton gate.” - Mietsie Visser, 2021/05/27

“"Absolutely loved our short time here. The best part it is not a main stream camp with chalets which means no rushing people like all the other camps. Solar geysers for showers were broken we we were there. The hide is awesome! We saw a Black Rhino and our girls loved looking into the eyes of an elephant from 3m away. Will always make this part of this area's travel plans. Tim Hughes 2016/07/09” - Tim Hughes, 2016/07/26

“Very nice camp site. However you should shower in the afternoon as there is limited/no hot water in the evening.” - Michael van Eeden, 2015/09/08
