Directions

Take the N2 from Port Elizabeth to Grahamstown. 11km after exiting PE you will find the R335 turn-of on your left hand side. Travel with the R335 through Motherwell towards Addo Town (± 40km's). Pass through Addo town (Police Station on your right hand side) and turn left onto the R336. You will find Africanos Country Estate on the right hand side of the R336 ± 5km's after turning onto it.

Revel in the natural beauty of the environs and its wildlife from your lofty seat as these gentle giants amble through the African bush. After the ride, walk with them through the diverse valley bushveld, ravine and forest habitat. At the conclusion of the walk enjoy rewarding the elephants with their favorite treats. We highly recommend that guests make use of either our air or road transfer option to reach the Lodge Schotia Safaris is a privately owned and managed reserve, which has been owned by the Bean family since 1833. Schotia is the oldest private game viewing reserve in the Cape Province of South Africa, and also the first reserve to have lions that can hunt for themselves. *There were approximately 2000 animals and over 40 species on the reserve. The wildlife introduction process started in 1982 and will continue until the reserve is fully stocked with a variety of animals that are suited to the habitat.
