The campsite is located in the centre of Outapi, on the premises of a former army base. The centre of the experience surrounding this campsite is the hollowed-out trunk of a baobab tree which has a rich history of the purposes it served - everything from a post office to a chapel. A craft shop sells a wide range of souvenirs including baskets and clay pots. There is also story telling about the history of the Owambo people at the heritage centre.
There are 4 campsites each with that own ablution facility. Four arms showers and 4 Flush toilets. There is a newly renovated coffee shop that was build during the colonial times and are now used a as kiosk and craft shop.
