The small town on the N2 from Cape Town to George is known as the 'Capital of the Overberg'. It is famous for its seven springs, one of which is cold and the other 6 heated by the rocks and the pressure from deep underground to a toasty 49.5° Celsius. The Caledon Hotel & Spa with its Casino complex is popular amongst locals and visitors.
